Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Plan to manage gas system project
  2. Project resources are identified, tender documents and projected scope are prepared and tenders called for in accordance with workplace procedures
  3. Performance measures are identified and documented and project management plan is implemented in accordance with workplace procedures
  4. Project testing procedures are discussed with appropriate person/s to determine the project brief
  5. Testing parameters are determined in accordance with workplace policies, procedures and specifications
  6. Equipment, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the work are selected and coordinated in accordance with project requirements and workplace procedures
  7. Work roles and tasks are allocated to personnel in accordance with project requirements and individual's competencies
  8. Work is prioritised and sequenced for completion within acceptable timeframes in accordance with workplace procedures and project plan
  9. Communication issues with authorised persons, authorities, clients and land owners are resolved and work coordinated in accordance with workplace procedures
  10. Hazards are identified, risks are assessed and control measures are implemented in accordance with workplace procedures
  11. Relevant work permit/s required to coordinate the work are identified in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
  12. Implement and manage project plan
  13. WHS/OHS and sustainable energy principles and practices to reduce incidents, accidents and minimise waste are incorporated into the project in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
  14. Applications for work permits, access permits and licences are prepared and submitted to relevant authorities/stakeholders for approval and resources obtained and administered in accordance with the project plan
  15. Contractors are selected and managed in accordance with the project plan and project variations negotiated with stakeholders and progress reports prepared and presented with explanations of over runs
  16. Project hazards are identified, risks are assessed and implemented, control measures are monitored and technical advice provided and/or appropriate authorities consulted, in accordance with project requirements and workplace procedures
  17. Data is analysed and compared with compliance specifications to ensure project is completed within agreed timeframes in accordance with project plan
  18. Project testing is undertaken in accordance with project requirements and workplace procedures
  19. Work teams are formed to ensure planned goals are achieved in accordance with workplace procedures and project plan
  20. Solutions to unplanned events and non-routine problems are identified and applied in accordance with requirements
  21. Work quality is monitored against project performance agreement and industry standards
  22. Strategic plans are developed incorporating organisational initiatives in accordance with workplace procedures
  23. Finalise projectand complete relevant documentation
  24. Final inspections are undertaken and checked against project plan for conformance with all project requirements, specifications and documentations required for project completion
  25. Appropriate person/s are notified of project completion and reports and completion documents are finalised in accordance with workplace procedures
  26. Reports and completion documents are submitted to relevant person/s for approval and if required, statutory or regulatory approval
  27. Approved copies of documents are issued and records updated in accordance with workplace procedures

odourising plant

corrosion control

interconnecting systems

appropriate personnel must include at least two (2) of the following:

organisation employees

maintenance persons

appropriately experienced and qualified persons

site security persons

contractors and their employees

inspectors and regulatory authority representatives

relevant authorities and other stakeholders must include at least two (2) of the following:

authorities

local councils

emergency services

road and rail transport authorities

government departments

land owners/traditional land owners

contractors and other organisational persons

relevant documentation must include at least four (4) of the following:

specifications

drawings/plans; ‘as-constructed’ drawings/plans

manufacturer specifications

work permits

company standard operation and safety procedures

company management plans and policies

hot work permits

company forms and files

work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) laws and codes of practice

relevant government acts, regulations and codes of practice

environmental legislative requirements

quality assurance; expenditure reports and budgets

records/reports must include at least two (2) of the following:

relevant documentation

routine inspections (daily readings, monthly checks)

scheduled maintenance activities

mandatory or statutory inspections

hazard and incident reports
